Founder John Gilmore lost both of his parents to cancer. His understanding of the journey became especially personal while serving as caregiver for his mother. He saw how cancer reaches beyond the diagnosis and affects the caregiver, household, finances, relationships, and everyday life.
One Cure cannot change the diagnosis. We can change how someone experiences the journey.
One Cure is a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting individuals and families affected by cancer. We help people connect with practical resources — transportation to appointments, treatment resources, essential supplies, financial resources, support groups, emotional support, caregiver support, and other community services that can reduce the burden surrounding a cancer diagnosis.
A son, a caregiver, and a mission that grew from both.

Throughout his career, he has successfully led organizations through growth, transformation, and financial turnaround initiatives while developing strong strategic partnerships and community relationships.
Currently serving as co-founder and CEO for LZ Organics, Jeff has helped drive market expansion and secure significant growth opportunities for the company. His diverse professional background includes executive leadership roles in agriculture, international business development, hospitality management, professional sports, and family-owned business operations.
Known for his strategic vision, integrity, and collaborative leadership style, Jeff brings extensive experience in organizational development, fundraising, contract negotiation, public relations, and stakeholder engagement. His dedication to One Cure is rooted in personal experience, inspiring his commitment to supporting families affected by cancer and helping expand the organization's impact within the community.
